Banyana Comfortable away win in Tanzania advantage in qualifiers: Banyana Banyana took advantage of the first leg lead with an impressive 3-0 victory over Tanzanian team Twiga Stars in the CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifier held at the Azam Complex Stadium. Despite starting the game with some initial rustiness, the team gradually picked up pace as the game progressed.
The breakthrough came in the 10th minute, when Jermaine Seoposenwe took advantage of a pass from Hildah Magaia to score the first goal. Going into the break with a 1-0 lead, coach Desiree Ellis made strategic adjustments, including bringing on Amogelang Motau for Kholosa Biyana, to bolster her second-half performance.
The changes proved effective, as Banyana Banyana created more scoring opportunities, and captain Thembi Kgatlana extended the lead with a goal in the 57th minute. As the pressure mounted on the Twiga Stars, Magaia sealed the visitors’ victory with a goal in the 86th minute, securing a resounding 3-0 victory.

The team will return to South Africa on Saturday February 24 and travel to Mpumalanga on February 25 for the return match. The second leg will be played on Tuesday 27 February at Mbombela Stadium (kick-off 7:30pm) and will be broadcast LIVE on SuperSport Variety 4.
