The Confederation of African Football (“CAF”) has officially unveiled the list of match officials for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023. The full list is made up of 68 members, including experienced officials from various regions of the continent, including 26 referees, 30 assistant referees and 12 VAR referees.
These officials bring valuable experience acquired during their participation in various CAF international competitions. The African Cup of Nations is scheduled to be played in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11. Before the tournament, all selected referees are expected to arrive in Ivory Coast on January 5, 2024 to undergo refresher training. The course will include physical and theoretical assessments for all officers, ensuring they are ready for the next competition.
