CAF Concludes Extensive Global TV-Broadcast for AFCON 2023: The Confederation of African Football (“CAF”) today announced the conclusion of comprehensive international broadcasting agreements with TV rights holders from Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, North America and the Caribbean, in anticipation of the launch of TotalEnergies CAF. . Africa Cup of Nations (“AFCON”) Ivory Coast 2023.
The tournament will start in Ivory Coast on Saturday January 13, 2024. Global TV’s broadcast partners include Sky (UK), BBC (UK), LaLiga+ (Spain), SportItalia (Italy), Sport Digital (Germany and Switzerland), SportTV (Portugal), Viaplay (Nordic) and Band TV ( Brazil).
beIN Sport, CANAL+, New World TV and around 45 free-to-air channels have also entered into a partnership agreement with CAF, which will allow TotalEnergies AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023 CAN to be broadcast in around 180 countries.
CAF received almost 6,000 media endorsement requests for the TotalEnergies CAF Côte d’Ivoire 2023 CAN, an increase of more than 100% compared to the previous CAN which was held in Cameroon in 2022.
A significant increase in financial investment from TV rights holders in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, North America and the Caribbean will lead to a significant increase in the global audience of CAN TotalEnergies Côte d’Ivoire 2023. CAF’s advertising revenue will also increase significantly, thus contributing to the development and growth of football in Africa.
TotalEnergies Ivory Coast 2023 CAN is expected to be more competitive as all the big and successful African football nations will compete in Ivory Coast for the AFCON Cup. Football in Africa made history at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, when Morocco qualified for the semi-finals and African national teams are expected to continue to reach greater heights in the upcoming World Cup competitions.
