KCSE Results Analysis 2023/2024, KCSE 2022 Results Released January 2024 – KCSE 2023 Exam Results News, Figures, Statistics & Analysis 2023 – KCSE 2023: The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) is indeed an important exam in Kenya, taken by students in the last year of primary school.
This national examination is important because it plays an important role in determining the eligibility of students to join secondary schools. The KCPE results are highly anticipated by students, parents and educators as they pave the way for students’ educational journey beyond primary school.
Normally, once students complete the KCPE exam, there is a waiting period of a few weeks before the results are released. This session allows for careful and in-depth editing of exam papers and preparation of results. The announcement of KCPE results is a major event in the Kenyan education calendar and is often accompanied by public announcements, media coverage and celebrations.
KCPE exam results are important because they affect students’ placement in different secondary schools based on their performance. High-achieving students have the opportunity to enter competitive and prestigious high schools, while those with low grades may have different placement options.
KCSE Results Analysis 2023/2024
As I have already stated, 881,416 candidates sat the 2023 KCSE Examination compared with 826,807 candidates in 2022. This represented an increase of 54,609 candidates (6.60%).
Of the total number of candidates that sat the 2023 KCSE Examination, 443,644 were male while 437,772 were female, representing 50.33% and 49.67% of the total candidature respectively. This statistic means the country has achieved gender parity, in much the same way as we have done at the primary school level.
