Leagues Cup Winners List since 2019

Leagues Cup Winners List since 2019 – 2023: The Leagues Cup is an annual soccer competition between Major League Soccer and Liga MX clubs in North America, held in the United States and Canada.

It started in July 2019 with the participation of four teams from both leagues. The first edition was a single-elimination tournament hosted in the United States with the finals played in Las Vegas on September 18, 2019.

In 2023, the competition was expanded to include all MLS and Liga MX clubs, and now functions as a regional cup for these leagues. The top three teams from the League Cup qualify for the CONCACAF Champions Cup, with the champions receiving a bye to the round of 16.

Starting in the 2023 edition, the League Cup will include teams from MLS and Liga MX: 47 teams in total and 77 matches hosted in the United States and Canada. The top 15 teams in each league will be drawn into 15 groups based on their league ranking from the previous season, with the remaining teams drawn based on geographic proximity.

The group stage will have three round-robin matches and the top two teams will qualify for the knockout stage. Two teams will also receive a bye to the knockout stage: the current MLS Cup champion and the top Liga MX champion from the previous Apertura and Clausura. The elimination phase will be the immediate elimination of the established table.
