Matokeo ya Form Two 2023, The Form One selection process is an important annual exercise that determines the placement of students who have completed their KCPE examinations in secondary schools. The ranking process is based on a merit system based on students’ performance in the NECTA examinations. The Ministry of Education is responsible for the planning process and has set guidelines and rules that must be followed to ensure that the process is fair and transparent.
For the selection process of Form One 2023-24, the Ministry of Education has introduced new guidelines and regulations that will affect the placement of students in secondary schools. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of a new proportional system for non-county schools, which allocates 40% of the available places to the host county, 20% to the host sub-county and 40% to other counties. Additionally, the distribution of out-of-county learners increased from 50:50 to 70% in public schools and 30% in private schools.
