Middendorp Secures First Signing At Spurs

Middendorp Secures First Signing At Spurs: Cape Town Spurs have officially announced their first signing ahead of the January transfer window. To bolster their defence, the currently relegation-threatened team have acquired the services of Mogamed Rafiq de Goede, a former Maritzburg United and Stellenbosch centre-back.

De Goede, 30, joins the team on a free transfer, having left Maritzburg United at the end of last season. His immediate availability allows for a quick signing into the DStv Premiership squad, providing an immediate boost to Cape Town Spurs.

With over 80 appearances in the South African Premier League, de Goede brings a wealth of experience to the Urban Warriors. This signing is expected to bring good competition within the team, especially when it comes to the defensive line, as Cape Town Spurs aim to force their way out of the relegation battle.

Spurs are in 16th place with four points after the first half of the season, after winning the play-offs last season.
