MAMELODI SUNDOWNS PREPARED TO CONFIRM LORCH DOCUMENT AT PSL TRANSFER DEADLINE.
With the clock ticking on the PSL transfer deadline, Sundowns are set to introduce a game-changing addition to their squad, Lorch.
The January transfer window closes this afternoon, Friday 26 January at 00:00, and Sundowns have once again attracted attention with the late signing of Lorch.
Lorch leaves the Pirates after a decade with the club. He has won four titles, three MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup.
The 30-year-old played 176 games for the Soweto Giants club with 34 goals and 30 assists, he was one of the Buccaneers’ best players and a fan favorite despite his off-field problems and injuries.
In 2019, Lorch won two major awards in South African football. He was named Footballer of the Season and Player of the Season at the PSL awards. He has also played several times for Bafana.
Lorch is the penultimate signing day for Sundowns, with the club previously announcing the arrival of Tashreeq Matthews. The 23-year-old midfielder joins the 2016 CAF Champions League winners from Swedish side IK Sirius.
