PSL News: Moroka Swallows Officially Charged by the PSL – Moroka Swallows Club have been formally charged by the Premier Soccer League for failing to host two DStv Premiership matches.
Swallows confirmed in their statement for the final two league matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows, that they would not be present due to the players’ strike.
This is due to issues with non-payment of salaries, with club president David Magashoa confirming that this is due to the accumulation of payments for failing to secure title sponsorship for the season.
While the Dube Birds suggested charges and the players would be arrested, they are set to land in hot water for further punishment, with PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu confirming they were formally charged on Wednesday.
