PSL Transfer News: ‘Ngcobo Must Be Loaned Out’

PSL Transfer News: ‘Ngcobo Must Be Loaned Out’ – Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye believes the club should send Nkosingiphile Ngcobo out on loan so he can perform to his full potential.

Khanye believes that ‘Mshini’, who is one of the products of Chief’s development in the first team, should be at a different level than he is currently showing. The 24-year-old, who was promoted to the first team at the age of 18, has made eight league appearances so far this season and scored one goal.

Khanye believes the former South Africa international is not the only player in Chiefs’ development ranks whose potential is under threat. However, he insists Mshini is not good enough to play number 10 as he lacks strength and stability.

“If I’m not wrong, this is the fifth or sixth season that Mshini is promoted and not only him, there is also Mashiane who was promoted the same way as Mshini and he is not even playing,” Khanye.

“So I don’t think Mshini is good enough to play at 10. The boy is good but you need strength in that role. As a young boy you can’t play like an old man or if you are about to retire. He He has to be strong, he has to be a player, he has to create buzz and Mshini doesn’t even have that position.

“If you continue to play like him and show patience even after scoring, especially when you are young, then you have a problem. And we can’t even call him a young man anymore because he is 24/25 years. He showed promise.

“There have been many players who showed promise and had to be released on loan. Therefore, even he should end up somewhere because he is the same as the others who were released by Kaizer Chiefs.

“They can win titles at development level like Mshini won the development league, but the first team is at a different level.”

Ngcobo has scored seven goals and set up three goals in the 87 games he has played for Amakhosi since being promoted to the first team in the 2018/19 season.
