Thembinkosi Lorch Joins Masandawana – After weeks of speculation that the 30-year-old was a target for the Sunsowns, he will now play for the Brazilians. Lorch ends his seven seasons at Pirates and becomes the fourth player signed by Sundowns mid-season after Zuko Mdunyelwa, Matías Esquivel and Tashreeq Matthews.
It has been Masandawana’s last day of work that he is showing aggressiveness in the transfer market.
“Thembinkosi Lorch is to leave Orlando Pirates Football Club after a discussion between the Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza and the Mamelodi Sundowns hierarchy,” Pirates announced in a statement.
“The Club thanks ‘Nyoso’ for his immense contribution by adding another page in the history of the Club.
We wish him and his family well in his future sporting pursuit.”
