SASSA Grants For January Now Being Paid: Sassa has officially started payment of the Sassa Grant for the month of January. They provide more than 19 million in permanent grants to vulnerable people living in South Africa every month.
More than 25 million people will receive welfare grants from the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) this January. Wednesday was the first day that Sassa grant payments would be made not only in January but in 2024.
Sassa Grants plays an important role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families in South Africa through the distribution of grants from the South African Government. Subsidies help families afford basic goods and services.
SASSA Grants For January Now Being Paid
Their grants include Old Age Pension Allowance, Disability Allowance, War Veterans Allowance, Dependents Allowance, Foster Child Allowance, Alimony Allowance child support allowance and grant assistance.
Grant recipients typically receive their grant at the beginning of each month. These payments will begin on the second day of each month, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Sassa Grant Payment Dates January
Scholarship for seniors – January 3, 2024
Disability benefits – January 4, 2024
Child allowance – January 5

Sassa advises beneficiaries not to rush to withdraw on the first available day, insisting that the funds remain in their accounts until they need them.
Beneficiaries can collect subsidies through bank accounts, POS, mobile payment terminals and Sassa Gold cards, which have increased validity.
Payment dates for distributions of SRD shares
Sassa said the SRD grant would be distributed during the last week of the month. In January 2024, SRD grant payments will be made from January 25 to January 31.
During payment week, Sassa encouraged beneficiaries to check their Sassa status on the SRD website, to check the exact date their grant payment will reflect in their bank accounts.
