Springboks to make major coaching appointment soon

Springboks to make major coaching appointment soon: SA Rugby is reportedly set to appoint a leading former Springbok star in their new-looking coaching and management structure. The Springboks, South Africa’s national rugby team, will face high expectations and pressure as they prepare for their matches. They are scheduled to play back-to-back Tests against Ireland in July, which will be closely followed by fans and pundits alike.

After these matches, the team will have a match against Portugal before participating in the Rugby Championship. This series of matches will be important for the Springboks as they aim to demonstrate their form and readiness for international competitions. The rugby community is eagerly awaiting their return to the field and these upcoming games will be a great test for the team.

The Springboks are entering a new four-year cycle, which is expected to bring a number of changes to the coaching staff. This follows the departure of Jacques Nienaber and Felix Jones. Rassie Erasmus, who is under contract until 2025, is expected to refocus his role as head coach. There are also rumors that SA Rugby could consider expanding their services over the next four-year cycle.

Reports suggest SA Rugby is interested in Erasmus remaining in his role until 2027, with the aim of securing a third consecutive world title for South Africa. However, achieving this may require Erasmus to step down from his full-time director of rugby role to fully concentrate on his duties as head coach.

However, this role could also possibly include some of the duties that Erasmus filled when serving as director of rugby.

Full details of Vermeulen’s job will be confirmed when SA Rugby announces the appointment of Jerry Flannery as the Bok’s new defense coach and Tony Brown as attack coach, expected in February.
