Zambia Women’s National Football Team Squad 2023 COSAFA: Zambia women’s national team coach Bruce Mwape has announced his final 23-women squad for the 2023 COSAFA Women’s Championship, scheduled to take place from October 4 to 15 in Gauteng.
Mwape’s squad includes all local players, and most of them have recently featured in the team’s friendly series against Morocco in Casablanca and Rabat. Goalkeeper Ngambo Musole has returned to the Copper Queens squad, with a large number of players playing their first games in this regional championship.
However, the Red Arrows team, which includes Mary Wilombe, Mary Mulenga, Ochumba Oseke Lubanji and Hellen Mubanga, will not be available as they have been excused for military training. In addition, midfielder Avell Chitundu will not be present in the tournament due to injury.

The defending champions will begin their campaign with a Group B match against Mozambique at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on October 5. Three days later, they will face Angola at Dobsonville Stadium. Their final group stage match will be against Comoros on October 10 at the UJ Soweto Stadium.
