CAN 2023 will be hosted by Ivory Coast after being postponed from 2021 due to Cameroon’s delay in organizing the 2019 tournament. The event was scheduled to begin in January 2024 to avoid the rainy season. Ivory Coast last hosted the tournament in 1984 and won it in 1992 and 2015.
The tournament will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, with six groups of four teams playing at the same time. The top two teams from each group and the top four third-placed teams will advance to the knockout stage. Each group has a main match field and final matches will require two teams to play on different fields at the same time.
Stadiums and Final
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will culminate with the final on February 11, 2024 at the 60,000 capacity Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The final will feature the African champions and is expected to include Premier League stars like Salah and Yves Bissouma.
