Mapinduzi Cup 2024: Singida, Simba, Azam, Yanga in tricky fixtures today: 2024 starts in style with the Mapinduzi Cup which provides two difficult matches in Group B.

Early in the match, Group B leaders Singida Fountain Gate will take on APR of Rwanda in what promises to be a tough match, which is expected to attract the attention of many football fans.

The teams will fight for more points in the hope of advancing to the round of 16 of the competition. A victory for the first team will allow them to qualify for the round of 16 of the competition.

The second match will see JKU host Simba, with the winners playing their first match under Algerian coach Abdelhak Benchikha. So far, the Singida-based club have 3 points in their bag, which they got after their 4-1 win over JKU in their opening match of the tournament.

Yesterday, in the previous session of the match, APR coach Thierry Froger said that despite the difficult match in this year’s championship, they were ready to take more points in the match.

“The competition is good and we are using it as part of our training ahead of the second round of the Rwanda Premier League,” he said.

“Our mission is to win the title in every competition we participate in.” He added that they are not afraid of the 4-1 victory won by their opponents in the previous match as his team has had enough practice to face their opponents.

For his part, Singida Fountain Gate coach Thabo Senong also stressed that they are fully prepared for this important match and their main aim is to increase the points.

“We started the tournament well by winning our first match, and we would like to continue with the same spirit. That is why we will play with the intention of collecting clear results from the fight,” he said.

He added that there are no injured or suspended players in his team, which gives them a significant advantage to do well while emphasizing that they need to be at their best to shine. His player, Gadiel Michael, also said that he will do his best to emerge victorious and walk away with a well-deserved victory.
