Morocco 2025 AFCON: Africa Cup of Nations Preliminary Fixtures | Following the conclusion of the 34th edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, the preliminary draw for the next edition of the tournament was held on Tuesday, February 20, at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, to be held in Morocco.

A total of 52 nations will participate in the qualifiers of the TotalEnergies Morocco 2025 African Cup of Nations. In the preliminary stage of the qualifiers, the eight lowest-ranked nations according to the FIFA Rankings will compete in a round-trip knockout format.

From these matches, four nations will emerge victorious and will then advance to join the 44 nations already scheduled to participate in the group stage of the playoffs.

During this preliminary stage, the four lowest-ranked nations will host the first leg of the matches, with the second leg being played at the venue of the highest-ranked opposing nation.

Both the first leg and away matches of the qualifiers are scheduled to take place during the next FIFA international break, which will take place between March 20 and 26, 2024.
