Sigida Big Stars is now called Singida Fountain Gates FC: SINGIDA BIG STARS YAUZWA KWA FOUNTAIN GATE: On June 14, 2023, the Singida Big Stars football team made an announcement regarding their ownership agreement with the Fountain Gate football center in Dodoma, Tanzania.
As part of the agreement, the team will undergo a name change and will be known as Singida Fountain Gates FC going forward. Despite the ownership change, it has been confirmed that the Singida-based team will continue to be the property of the citizens of Singida, and their headquarters will remain in Singida.
Singida Big Stars achieved promotion to the Premier League in the 2022/23 season after facing relegation from the top division. They had previously changed their name from DTB when they came under the management of DTB Commercial Bank. In that particular season, they had a successful campaign and finished fourth in the NBC league standings.

The decision to form an agreement with the Fountain Gates Academy stems from the CAF regulation mandating that all teams participating in the CAF championship must have youth teams, including women’s teams.

As the Singida Big Stars already had those teams in place, they sought to further enhance their setup by entering into this partnership with the Fountain Gates Academy.
This move showcases the Singida Fountain Gates FC’s commitment to improving their team structure and developing young talent, aligning with the CAF requirements. The team aims to build on their recent successes and continue their progress in the Premier League and beyond.
